Sopore, Feb 20 (KS) : In a life-saving response, Sopore Police swiftly rescued a pregnant woman in urgent need of medical help in the remote village of Rafiabad.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that amidst heavy snowfall in Rafiabad, Sopore Police displayed extraordinary dedication and rescued a pregnant woman in a critical condition.
The official said that the incident unfolded when Shamshad Ahmad Mir, a resident of Zethan, urgently requested assistance from the police for the medical evacuation of his wife, who was in critical condition due to her pregnancy. The adverse weather conditions made transportation extremely challenging, as the road was completely blocked by heavy snowfall.
However, undeterred by the adverse conditions, the Sopore Police sprung into action. Led by SHO Dangiwacha, Inspector Jan Mohammad, a well-equipped rescue team was immediately dispatched to the location. Despite the treacherous road conditions, the team persevered and successfully reached the distressed family in time.
The pregnant woman was safely evacuated by the competent team and swiftly transported to the PHC in Dangiwacha.
The official further said that the timely response and the prompt action by the Sopore Police proved instrumental in ensuring the well-being of both the mother and the baby.
Meanwhile, The people expressed their gratitude to the Sopore Police for their exceptional efforts in providing humanitarian assistance during a critical time. (KS)
