Updated: Minor Among 4 Persons Injured As Leopard Strikes in Separate Places in Shopian

Srinagar, Apr 05 (KS): At least four persons, including a minor, were left injured as a leopard struck in separate places in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday evening.

An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that four persons came under attack from a leopard in Daramdora Keegam and Mazhama areas of Shopian district this evening.

The injured have been identified as Tariq Ahmad Lone son of Mohammad Ahsan Lone; Saadat Nazir (14) son of Nazir Ahmad Wani and Nazir Ahmad Wani residents of Daramdora Keegam and Sahil Hassan Rather son of Ghulam Hassan Rather, a resident of Mazhama.

“The injured persons were evacuated to DH Pulwama from where all of them were referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for preferential treatment,” the official said.

Meanwhile, Police have taken cognisance of the incident. (KS)
