Srinagar, April 15 (KS):- In view of the incessant rains, authorities in Baramulla have urged people to avoid venturing into flood prone areas.
“In view of persistent rainfall continuing in District Baramulla and in order to ensure safety of Public in general and people living in low-lying areas, foothills of Karevas and near the rivers/ Nallahs, it is hereby advised that people must refrain from venturing into flood prone areas/ flooded areas.” Reads the advisory issued by Bla adminstration a copy of which lies with news Agency Kashmir Scroll.
“People must keep emergency supplies handy and stay tuned to local weather updates, People must remain vigilant and prioritize safety above all else, People must avoid unnecessary travel, especially in areas prone to flooding and if the travel is must, they must ensure that they have appropriate rain gear and must drive carefully and People residing in a flood-prone areas, known for water logging, may look for safe location, in consultation with local authorities.” It reads.
