Protest in Pakharpora:Two Districts at Loggers Head Over Water Supply

Budgam, Jan 6, KNT: A severe water crisis has gripped multiple areas in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, forcing residents to stage protests in the Pakharpora area. The areas including Nagabul, Charar Sharif, Pakharpora, Kanna Dujan, Darwan, and other rural areas, are facing acute water shortages, leaving people struggling for even a few drops of potable water.

The crisis has exacerbated hardships for locals, who accuse elected representatives of being indifferent to their plight. “In these trying times, public representatives have become silent spectators instead of addressing the problems faced by the people,” lamented a protester in Pakharpora.
