Aghast Over Recurrent Irregularities, JKSSB Aspirants Hold Protest in Kupwara

Kupwara, Jan 7 (GNS): Aggrieved over frequent irregularities which have already over the time resulted in scrapping of several recruitment processes’, a group of JKSSB aspirants on Saturday held a protest here, demanding introduction and implementation of a much strict law to penalize people involved in putting the careers of educated youth at stake.

Talking to media, a group of youth carrying placards, as per GNS, expressed their deep resentment over recruitment agency Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board for failing to live upto the hopes of aspirants, applying for different posts.

“It is very agonizing to see that despite a powerful government in the centre and an administration directly overseen by them, the irregularities are galore”, an aggrieved aspirant said adding “the way JKSSB has been treating us, it is intolerable.”

Talking about the scrapping of JKP SI recruitment process, another aspirant said that it wasn’t happening for the first time. “Such scams are in vogue since 2019 now”, he alleged adding “It actually is the JKPSI recruitment episode, which forced them to hit the roads.”

“It is our sheer bad luck that no one is talking on our behalf, not even anyone from UT administration came on record to denounce the JKSSB for putting our careers at stake”, they alleged.

“Our degrees and preparations are being trivialized at the hands of those at the helm of affairs in the recruitment agency (JKSSB)”, another aspirant said adding “How come they roped in a blacklisted company for the recruitment process, is there no one to ask and hold them accountable for all this.”

“Or is it only the aspirants, who have to face the burnt this or that way”, he lamented.

The agitated aspirants demanded that a judicial committee be appointed, which should either be headed by CJI himself or any senior judge, as to bring forth the facts of the scrapped recruitment processes’ for last several years.

“We also demand that the central government mull over to introduce and implement a much strict law, so that the elements involved in such sham practices thereby putting the careers of educated youth are penalized to set a strong precedent for days to come”, the aggrieved candidates urged.

“If such elements are given a free hand, the way they are unfortunately being given now, it will create havoc and educated youth will slowly lose their faith in forthcoming recruitment processes’, which will ultimately have an overall bad effect on the society”, they further remarked. (GNS)
