CEO Reasi accords post-facto permission for entries of degrees obtained while in service

Srinagar, Feb 24 (KNO): Chief Education Officer (CEO) Reasi Friday accorded post-facto permission for entries qualifications obtained while being in service by the employees of the department in the district.

The order has been issued in favour of 16 teaching and non-teaching staff members of the district.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), CEO Reasi has said that in order to compliance the Director School Education Jammu and as approved by the District Level Committee, “Post-Facto sanction is accorded in favour of 16 teaching and non-teaching staff of this department to the grant of permission to make entry of degrees in their service record, who have passed the examination from the Jammu, Kashmir, IGNOU and MANUU Universities during the session shown against each in distance or private capacity through correspondence subject.

Stating the conditions, the CEO said that the teaching or non-teaching staff should have applied for permission and has passed the examination and leave availed by him or her has been entered in their service record.

It also said that the Drawing and Disbursing Officers will be further personally accountable for any financial lapse, in case at any stage the department found that the official has been paid for the period he or she was undergoing their regular class work in the University while being shown present in the institution.

The instructions has been passed to ensure that nothing of this sort happens and the certificate from the concerned University or Head of the Department should be obtained certifying the period for which the official has attended the class work so that accordingly corresponding action of sanctioning of leave could be entailed to avoid in any irregularity or financial lapse.

“The DDO shall verify the genuineness of the degree from the concerned university before making the entry of qualification in the Service Book,” the CEO said.

It also said that the DDO concerned while making the entry of the qualification in the Service Book shall clearly mention that the concerned official has passed the requisite qualification in distance or private capacity through Campus of the concerned University indicating the reference of permission accorded by this office—(KNO)
