Takes stock of ongoing Urs arrangements
Ganderbal, March 5: DDC Chairperson Ganderbal Nuzhat Ishfaq and Former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar on Sunday visited Ziyarat Hazrat Baba Abdullah Reshi (RA) Chundina Ganderbal and took stock of arrangements being made by the administration for the Urs Mubarak.
Hundreds of people of all faiths hailing from different parts of the valley are believed to throng the historical shrine to pay their obeisance.
On the occasion, Nuzhat Ishfaq directed officials to make adequate arrangements for smooth conduct of Urs. She stressed for ensuring all basic facilities including supply of drinking water, uninterrupted power, transport and parking, besides, first aid facilities for devotees expected to pay obeisance at the shrine. Â She instructed for maintaining cleanliness in and around the shrine.
The duo also interacted with officer bearers of Ziyarat administration and sought details about the arrangements made for smooth and peaceful conduct of Urs Mubarak which is being observed on March 6 and 7
The duo, after paying obeisance, took part in the special prayers. They prayed for peace, prosperity and development of the UT.
The devotees apprised the the Chairperson and Former Legislator about various issues for improving facilities at the Shrine. The duo gave them patient hearing and assured that the suggestions put forth by them will be looked into.
