GANDERBAL POLICE WITH REVENUE & EXCISE DEPARTMENT CARRIED OUT DESTRUCTION DRIVE OF POPPY CULTIVATION AND WILD BANGH IN THE DISTRICT
GANDERBAL 06TH APRIL, 2023: On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS and continuing its efforts to eradicate menace of drug addiction from the society, Ganderbal Police today carried out destruction of poppy cultivation on massive scale in Watalbagh, Yenihama, Repora & Kranihama areas of District Ganderbal in the jurisdiction of PS Lar.
The drive was carried out by Police Party of Police Station Lar led by SHO Lar Smt. Ruksana (Dy.SP Probationary), along with the team Revenue and Excise Department.
Ganderbal Police is committed to eradicate this menace and the same would be continued during coming days.
General public of Ganderbal is requested to come forward with the information regarding such landowners, who indulges in large scale poppy cultivation so that they can be dealt as per law.
