Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur will be coming together for the sequel to Life In A Metro along with an ensemble cast.
Sara Ali Khan, who recently wrapped up the shoot of Murder Mubarak, seems to have jumped on to her next venture. The actress, who is expecting quite a bit of releases, will be seen alongside Aditya Roy Kapur for the first time in the Anurag Basu directorial Metro In Dino. After numerous reports about a sequel to Life In A Metro (2007) doing the rounds, the makers announced the film last year along with Sara, Aditya as well as Konkana Sen Sharma, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, among others.
Sara Ali Khan was recently seen in a deglam avatar as she was taking a ride in the Mumbai metro. The actress posted the story on her Instagram handle and tagged her Metro In Dino co-star Aditya Roy Kapur and filmmaker Anurag Basu as she captioned it saying, “Didn’t think I would be in Mumbai Metro before you guys… #MumbaiMeriJaan”. For the unversed, the actress announced her association with the film earlier this January by sharing a collage of the entire cast on her Instagram.
Sara Ali Khan, who last appeared in the Disney+Hotstar’s Gaslight alongside Chitrangda Singh and Vikrant Massey, announced the theatrical release of Metro In Dino that will be produced by T-Series and Bhushan Kumar and is slated to release on December 8, 2023. The film is expected to follow the plotline of its prequel which featured several short stories interlinked with one another.
Coming to her other films, Sara Ali Khan will feature in the Homi Adajania film Murder Mubarak co-starring Anil Kapoor which is said to be a horror comedy. The actress also has Laxman Utekar’s next with Vicky Kaushal as well as the period drama Ae Watan Mere Watan, that is set against the pre-Independence era.
