Army Officer Asks Local Youth to Explore Options to Boost Trade, Tourism Sector in Valley
Drugmulla, Jun 4: A team led by GoC 28 Infantry Division Major General Girish Kalia visited to pay obeisance and extend felicitations to the devotees on the eve of Urs (fair) of Zati Shahwali (RA) here on Sunday.
GoC Girish Kalia alongside Gaurav Jain offered prayers for wellness, harmony of the people at large and urged the devotees to keep up with the legacy of the revered Sufi Saint.
The GoC during his interaction with youth, encouraged and asked them to start their own entrepreneurial pursuits to enhance the tourism and trade sector in Valley.
It is pertinent to mention here that, the annual Urs-e-Mubarak, marked to observe the death anniversary of the Sufi Saint Hazrat Zati Shahwali, is an occasion wherein people cutting across different regions converge at Muqam-i-Shahwali Drugmulla every year to express their love and feelings for the principles the revered Sufi Saint stood for throughout his life. The devotees also get a chance to see the holy relics of the Sufi Saint on the holy ocassion.
