Minor drowns in Srinagar, rescue ops started

Srinagar, June 18 (KS) :- A minor drowned in flood channel in Hamdaniya colony area of Central Kashmir Srinagar district even as rescue operation has been started.

An official told news agency— Kashmir Scroll that an eight year old boy identified as Ikhlas son of Ab Qayoom resident of Hamdaniya Colony drowned in flood channel near Mithayi Bund Hamdaniya colony.

He said that soon after he drowned, locals started rescue operation.

He added that SDRF team along police have also reached there and rescue operation is going on—(KS)
