Amarnath Yatra : Senior police officer among 3 injured in Udhampur road mishap

Jammu, June 30 (KS) : A senior police officer among three on Friday were injured in a road mishap on Jammu-Srinagar highway at Udampur.
An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that DySP among three were injured after an Amarnath security convoy vehicle skidded off the road and fell down into deep gorge at Bali Nallah.
The officer said that all the injured were immediately taken to nearby hospital where from doctors shifted to district hospital Udhampur for advanced treatment.
Pertinently, Amid tight security arrangements, the first batch of pilgrims commenced their journey from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu towards two base camps in Kashmir on Friday. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off the first batch of Yatris—(KS)
