Srinagar, Mar 14 (KNO): The Power Development Department Thursday asked managing directors of JPDCL and KPDCL to charge the electricity bills of employees residing in government quarters at Srinagar and Jammu as per meter readings.
It also asked them to implement deposition of electricity charges on flat rate basis till 14-07-2023 and as per meter reading with effect from 15-07-2023 onwards for the employees residing in government quarters at Srinagar and Jammu.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Principal Secretary Power Development Department H Rajesh Prasad in a circular said that the government 2013 has been withdrawn by issuing of new orders in year 2023 regarding deposition of electricity charges on flat rate basis till 14-07-2023 and as per meter reading with effect from 15-07-2023 onwards.
“Accordingly, the Managing Director’s, JPDCL and KPDCL are request to implement the government order of 2023 in letter and spirit and charge the electricity bills as per meter readings with immediate effect from 15-07-2023 and on flat rate basis up to 14-07-2023 only,” it reads—(KNO)
