Bandipora, Apr 09 (KS) : A 45-year-old fisherman died after his boat capsized in the Walur Lake in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday morning.
An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a 45-year-old fisherman identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Kawa son of Ghulam Mohammad Kasa of Kanibathy Bandipora was on his way to catch the fishes in Walur lake when his boat capsized.
He said that after hectic efforts his body was retrieved from the lake.
Meanwhile, a police officer told news agency Kashmir Scroll that the body has been taken to district hospital Bandipora and after proper legal medical formalities body ll be handed over to family for last rites. (KS)
