Lok Sabha Polls: Anantnag-Rajouri registers over 23% voter turnout till 11 am

Srinagar, May 25 (KNO): Anantnag-Rajouri constituency registered a voter turnout of over 23 percent till 11 am as polling is underway in the 6th phase of the Lok Sabha polls.

In a statement, issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) a spokesperson said that Anantnag-Rajouri constituency registered 23.34 percent voter turnout till 11 am.

He said that the turnout is picking up and witnessing a substantial surge as voters are standing in long queues outside their respective polling stations across the constituency.

He said that elaborate arrangements have been made to facilitate the voters and polling personnel for smooth and successful conduct of elections.
Polls to Anantnag-Rajouri seat were earlier scheduled in the third phase of the Lok Sabha polls, however, due to logistics the polls were deferred to sixth phase today—(KNO)
