10th and 12th students who failed the CBSE exam can attend regular classes Principal Secretary School Education

Leh, June, 08, 2024: Principal Secretary, School Education Department, UT Ladakh, Sanjeev Khirwar called a press conference regarding the results of 10th and 12th examination, held under Central Board of School Education (CBSE) for the first time in Ladakh.
The Secretary stated that the final results of 10th and 12th are not as expected, however considering the fact that the students had undergone a major shift from a State Board to CBSE, it calls for all of us to do better. He stated that the department is committed to doing better.
Raising the morale of students who couldn’t get through, the Secretary said that the failed students of 10th and 12th will be given an opportunity to attend regular classes. He added that this will reduce the drop out ratio, adding that it is an endeavour the department is working towards.
To achieve better results and accountability in educational system of Ladakh, unit wise revision of subjects will be started, and teachers will be directed in this regard.
