Voting for 26 seats to take place on September 25
Srinagar, Aug 29 : The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday issued a notification for 26 assembly segments going to polls in the second phase of J&K assembly election on September 25.
According to the notification issued by the poll-body, a copy of which is in possession of news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the nomination forms for these seats can be filed up to September 5 while scrutiny of nominations will take place on September 06.
The candidates can withdraw nomination forms till September 9, the notification states.
The seats going to polls in this phase include Kangan (ST), Ganderbal, Hazratbal, Khanyar, Habbakadal, Lal Chowk, Channapora, Zadibal, Eidgah, Central Shalteng, Budgam, Beerwah, Khansahib, Chrar-i-Sharief, Chadoora, Gulabgarh (ST), Reasi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Kalakote – Sunderbani, Nowshera Rajouri (ST), Budhal (ST), Thannamandi (ST), Surankote (ST), Poonch Haveli and Mendhar (ST).
