Sarjan Barkati likely to contest from Ganderbal
Days after the rejection of his form from Zainapora in Shopian, Sarjan Barkati is likely to file his nomination form for the Ganderbal assembly segment.
Sources informed The Kashmiriyat that Sarjan Barkati will file his nomination form for the Ganderbal seat which also has Omar Abdullah in the fray.
The last date for filing nomination papers for the seat is September 5.
Family of Sarjan Barkati, the jailed cleric refused to speak on the issue, however, his close aides said that the they will go in full power to Ganderbal and the daughter of Barkati is likely to campaign for Barkati who is presently lodged at Central jail of Srinagar.
