Kulgam 22 Nov : Hafiz Mohd Ayoob Bhat, a resident of Zangalpora in Kulgam, has dedicated his life to the service of the Holy Quran, turning personal loss into spiritual gain. Losing his eyesight at the tender age of eight, Hafiz Mohd Ayoob believes this was part of Allah’s divine plan to guide him toward a noble purpose.
“Almighty Allah chose me for this noble cause, and that is why I lost my eyesight early in life,” he says with unwavering faith. Despite the challenges of blindness, he memorized the entire Quran and established Darsgah Abdullah Ibni Maqtoob (RA), an Islamic educational center in Zangalpora.
The Darsgah is a beacon of hope and knowledge, where over 100 students come to learn and recite the Quran under his guidance. Named after a blind companion of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the institute reflects Hafiz Mohd Ayoob’s vision to uphold the values of the Quran and inspire others to deepen their faith.
His life is a testament to resilience and devotion, showing that physical limitations are no barrier to spiritual greatness. Hafiz Mohd Ayoob’s unwavering commitment continues to inspire his community and generations of students who seek the light of the Quran.
