In continuation of the efforts to eradicate the drug menace from the society, District Police Ganderbal arrested one more Drug Peddler in the jurisdiction of PS Gund and Seized Contraband Substance.
Today, Police Station Gund received information through reliable sources that one person namely Shameem Ahmad Khatana S/O Late Ab Gani Khatana R/O Baktoori Mohalla, Gund has concealed contraband substance at his residential house. Upon the receipt of the information, Case FIR No. 53/2024, under relevant Sections of NDPS Act was registered at PS Gund.
Accordingly, Ganderbal Police constituted a special Police team of PS Gund who along with Executive Magistrate 1st Class and independent witnesses raided the residential house of the accused. During the search, 08 Kgs of Bhang Patri was recovered, which was seized and the accused was arrested on the spot. Further investigation of the case is under process.
