MISCREANTS ATTACK AMBULANCE CARRYING ACCIDENT VICTIM JOURNALIST

Srinagar: In a shocking incident, a group of miscreants stopped an ambulance carrying a seriously injured journalist, Wajid Raina, and his brother, who were involved in an accident at Bonibagh area.

The ambulance was on its way to SKIMS Soura when it was intercepted by the miscreants at 90 Feet Road by forcefully parked their car registration number JK01AR-0099 in front of ambulance. The group not only misbehaved with the ambulance driver but also physically assaulted him, as seen in a viral video circulating on social media.

In viral video the miscreants blocked the road, forcing the ambulance to stop. They then attacked the ambulance driver miscreants were also see shouting and abusing the driver. They even tried to damage the ambulance.

Meanwhile, the Ganderbal Press Association has condemned the incident, terming it as “unacceptable” and “inhuman, How can someone stop an ambulance carrying a seriously injured patient? It’s a shameless act,” said a journalist.

Police should taken cognizance of the incident and take immediate action against the culprits involved in the crime.

When Contacted to SSP Srinagar Mir Imtiyaz Hussain said, We are investigating the matter and will take action against the culprits and will catch them very soon.

Wajid Raina and his brother are currently undergoing treatment at SKIMS Soura. Their condition is stated to be stable.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for stringent action against the miscreants.
