SAU SAAl PEHLE ( A tribute to Mohammad Rafi by Mr. Riyaz Hakak)
Ganderbal 24 Dec : To pay tribute to the legendary Indian playback singer, Mohammad Rafi, and celebrate his contributions to Indian music.
The program was organized by GDC Ganderbal, dedicated to promote Indian music and culture.
1.Moderator: This programme was moderated by Dr. Jamsheeda Akhter (H.O.D department of urdu). The rapporteur for the event was Dr. Zeeshan Khushboo ( H.O.D department of Functional English).
2. Welcome Address: The program began with a welcome address by prof. Mujeeb kawoosa, who spoke about the significance of Mohd Rafi’s music and his impact on Indian cinema.
3. Biography: Prof. Fayaz Ahmad sheikh ( H.O.D department of chemistry) gave a detailed lecture on biography of legendary singer Mr. Mohammad Rafi sahab.
4. Musical Performances: A series of musical performances by Mr. Riyaz hakak sahab paid tribute to Mohd Rafi’s iconic songs, including “Kya Hua Tera Wada”, “Root-e- huve aate hai sab hasta huva jonjaye ga”, “Baharon Phool Barsao”, and “ pardesiyu se na aekhiya Milana.
5. Audio-Visual Presentation: An audio-visual presentation showcased Mohd Rafi’s life journey, highlighting his early days, rise to fame, and notable achievements.
The program was a huge success, with a packed audience of music lovers and singers. The event not only celebrated Mohd Rafi’s music but also provided a platform for young singers to showcase their talent. The program concluded with a standing ovation, with the audience requesting an encore.
