Medical Shop Shut Down in Ganderbal, after a picture of Expired medicine went viral

Ganderbal:- In a swift response to a viral social media post, the Drug Control Department has shut down a medical shop in Peerpora Kachan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District on thursday.
Acting on a complaint, a team of drug control officers Ganderbal inspected the medical shop and found it to be non-compliant with regulations. The shop was immediately closed down in the interest of public health, and a notice was issued under Section 22D of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
The department’s prompt action has been hailed as a move to ensure the sale of safe and genuine medicines in the region. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of regulating medical shops and pharmacies to protect public health. (JKNL)
