Baramulla, Jan 12 : In a tragic incident, an 18-year-old boy, Toufeeq Ahmad Bala, son of Farooq Ahmad Bala, from Gulshan Abad near Gulnar Park, Baramulla, was found dead after allegedly hanging himself on Friday.
The shocking incident came to light when locals discovered the boy and immediately informed the authorities. The police, along with residents, rushed the boy to Government Medical College (GMC), Baramulla, where doctors confirmed his death. The body was subsequently sent for postmortem to determine the exact cause of death.
Baramulla Police, led by officers from the Old Town Police Post, have registered a case and begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
