Leopard Captured Alive by Wildlife Officials in Budgam

Budgam, Jan 27, : A leopard that had been roaming the village of Razewan in central Kashmir’s Budgam district was successfully captured alive by the Wildlife Department on Monday.

Bashir Ahmad, Wildlife Officer for Budgam, informed the media that the department had received reports of the leopard moving through the area. Prompt action was taken, and the animal was safely captured, ensuring the safety of villagers and the leopard itself.

“To address the situation, a wildlife department camp has been set up in the village, operating round the clock. Efforts are also underway to enhance manpower in the district to ensure swift action in similar situations in the future,” he said. [KNT]
