Ganderbal, March 21, 2025: In a heartwarming display of community spirit and unity, hundreds of people participated in an Iftaar party organized by the youth of Theeru, Ganderbal, at the historic Jamia Masjid Theeru. The event, held on the evening of March 21, brought together residents from all walks of life to break their fasts during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Iftaar party, meticulously planned and executed by the young volunteers of Theeru, showcased the essence of Ramadan—generosity, togetherness, and compassion. The attendees included men, women, and children, as well as local religious leaders and community elders, who praised the initiative taken by the youth.

The Jamia Masjid Theeru, a central hub for religious and social activities in the area, was beautifully decorated for the occasion. Volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure that the event ran smoothly, from arranging seating to preparing and distributing meals. Traditional Kashmiri delicacies, including *wazwan* dishes, fruits, and sweets, were served to the attendees, adding a cultural touch to the festivities.

Speaking at the event, one of the organizers, Yasir Ahmad expressed his gratitude to the community for their overwhelming support. “This Iftaar party is not just about sharing food; it’s about sharing love, kindness, and the blessings of Ramadan. We, the youth, wanted to give back to our community and strengthen the bonds that unite us,” he said.

Local religious scholar Maulana Mufti Ajaz Ahmad commended the efforts of the youth, stating, “Such initiatives reflect the true spirit of Islam. It is heartening to see young people taking the lead in fostering unity and serving their community.”

The event concluded with congregational Maghrib prayers, followed by heartfelt dua (prayers) for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the community. The Iftaar party not only provided a platform for communal harmony but also highlighted the active role of youth in promoting social cohesion.
