Food Safety Department Inspects Bakery Units in Kangan, Fine Imposed

Kangan, March 27: A team from the Food Safety Department, led by Food Inspector Fayaz Ahmad and accompanied by Naib Tehsildar Kangan, conducted inspections at various bakery manufacturing units in Kangan on Thursday. The drive aimed to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.

During the inspection, officials detected multiple violations, including lack of proper cleanliness and improper labeling of products. Taking swift action, a fine of Rs. 2000 was imposed on one of the violators.

Authorities have issued strict warnings to bakery owners, urging them to adhere to the prescribed hygiene standards to avoid further penalties. The Food Safety Department has also assured that such inspections will continue to safeguard public health.

Local residents have welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the importance of regular monitoring to maintain food quality and safety standards in the region.
