GANDERBAL, APRIL 10: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore today conducted an extensive inspection of the ongoing Ring Road project and also reviewed the functioning of the Tehsil and Block Development Office (BDO) at Wakura.
The DC was accompanied by Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Agriculture Officer, Tehsildar Lar, and other concerned officials.
During the site visit, the DC assessed the progress of the Ring Road project and issued on-spot directions to accelerate construction while maintaining high quality standards.
Officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) were instructed to expedite shifting of utilities and demolition of structures for which compensation has already been paid.
In this regard, the DC instructed Tehsildar Lar to identify all such compensated structures so that timely demolition can be undertaken.
Subsequently, the DC visited the Tehsil and BDO Office Wakura to review their functioning. He interacted with the public present at the offices and enquired about the services being provided.
The DC emphasized the importance of prompt public service delivery and directed the Tehsildar Wakura and BDO to ensure timely redressal of grievances.
He urged the officials to maintain a people-friendly approach and ensure that citizens are attended to with diligence and care.
