“Legacy of Baba Sahib faded into oblivion for decades but under Modi govt, it is in the driving seat”: Andrabi
Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, under the aegis of MY Bharat organised “Jai Bhim Padyatra” from Hokersar Wetland, Zainakote to Narbal Crossing to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr B.R.Ambedkar. The Padyatra was flagged off & led by Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of JK Waqf Board. The padyatra aimed at propagating the teachings of Dr. Ambedkar witnessed the participation of more than 600 youth belonging to different districts. In her presidential address, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi lauded the efforts of MY Bharat J&K for organising this graceful event and spreading the teachings & messages of Dr. Ambedkar among the youth. “The contribution of Bhim Rai Ambedkar is immense in building a powerful, progressive, visionary & democratically strong nation. We have paid heavy prices forignoring and humiliating the intellectual & political legacy of Baba Sahib for decades in Congress rule but now PM Modiis taking numerous initiatives to strengthen constitutional values among the citizens and focused on the role of youth to achieve Viksit Bharat by 2047 adhering to the Constitution of Bharat”, said Andrabi. She said that Prime Minister’s ‘Sabka saath, Sabka vikas’ is in tune with the doctrines of Ambedkar Ji.
Youth leaders Bilal Ah Parray and Khalid Baqal were also present. At the outset, District Youth Officer Khushal Gupta presented welcome address Naseer Ahmed (Range Officer, Hokersar), Sh. Rameez Ahmed (SHO Shalteng), Sh. Rahi Reyaz Ahmed (Ahsan Foundation), APA NYK Srinagar Sh. Gulzar Ahmed Ganaie, Civil Society Members Sh. Abdul Khaliq Ahanger, Sh. Bashir Irfan, Sh. Mohd Yousuf, Sh. Murraza Ali, Sh. Mehboob Hussain and many youth clubs. The event culminated at Nagbal Crossing. The UT level as well district level programmes in this connection are being organised by Nisar Ahmed Butt, State Director, NYKS, J&K Ladakh.
