Ganderbal: The Ganderbal Press Association (GPA) has officially cancelled the basic membership of Firdous Ahmad Tantray (ID No: 010/GPA/23) and Abdul Gani Nizampori (ID No: 032/GPA/23) with immediate effect.
The decision was taken during a general meeting held at the GPA office in Ganderbal, following the findings that both members had violated the bylaws and code of conduct of the association. The violations were considered serious and against the ethical and professional standards expected from members of the Press Association.
Following the termination, both individuals have been removed from the official list of members available on the association’s website. They have also been directed to surrender their GPA-issued identity cards within three (3) days from the date of this notice.
The Ganderbal Press Association remains committed to upholding journalistic integrity and discipline, and any deviation from the rules will be dealt with firmly.
