Ganderbal: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Ganderbal marked a significant environmental initiative by celebrating the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign with great enthusiasm. Both students and staff came together to plant various types of trees on the school premises, contributing to a greener future.
The event saw active participation from the entire school community, with each planted tree being tagged with a unique QR code for easy identification and tracking. This innovative approach will help monitor the growth and maintenance of the trees, ensuring their long-term survival.
Principal of the School praised the collective effort, stating, “This campaign not only honors Mother Earth but also instills a sense of environmental responsibility among our students. The QR code system will help us nurture these plants effectively.”
The ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative aligns with the national mission of promoting ecological sustainability. JNV Ganderbal’s efforts have set an inspiring example for other institutions to follow in the fight against climate change.
