GANDERBAL 21st AUGUST, 2025: Under Civic Action Program, Ganderbal Police today organised a Football Tournament at Hyderia Sports Ground, Tulamulla in which various Football Teams/Clubs from different areas of the District participated.
SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS inaugurated the Tournament. The tournament witnessed huge response of District Players and the participating teams whole heartedly thanked Ganderbal Police for organising the event. During the inaugural address, SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS appreciated and wished good luck to both the teams for playing the inauguration match of the tournament. He also stressed upon the young & budding players of the District to allow their minds to explore their own thoughts and imagination through the medium of sports and show good sportsmanship and discipline. The inaugural match was played between FC Nunner Vs FC Shalbugh, which was won by FC Shalbugh by 3:1 Goals.
It is pertinent to mention here that *Ganderbal Police* organises different sports events, like Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Cultural & other Co-curricular activities in the District for the upliftment of sports. The main aim & motive of organising such events is to develop brotherhood, love & peace & keeping youth away from the menace of Drug Addiction.
Moreover, Dy.SP DAR Shri Nazir Ahmad & other senior officers of Police and a good number of spectators were also present on the said occasion, who witnessed the event with full fervour and enthusiasm.
