Srinagar, Aug 22 : The mortal remains of Kashmiri MBBS student Sabha Rasool, who passed away in Iran, will be flown back to India today.
Details available with news agency JKNS that the repatriation is being facilitated on Mahan Air flight W5 071, scheduled to depart at 5:00 PM (IST).
Her body is expected to reach Delhi Airport late this evening and will be transported to Srinagar by early tomorrow morning. She will be laid to rest at her native place in Safakadal, Srinagar, as per family traditions.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Students Association National Convenor Nasir Khuehami has appealed to the government to provide transport facilities from the airport to her residence.
“I request J&K CM Omar Abdullah Sb and CM’s Advisor Nasir Sogami to kindly ensure ambulance transportation and necessary arrangements at Srinagar Airport tomorrow morning, so that the body can be taken to her native place in Safakadal with dignity,” Khuehami told JKNS.
