Two Injured in Tata Sumo-Truck Collision at Sonamarg

Sonamarg, Sep 10, KNT: Two persons, including the driver of a Tata Sumo, sustained injuries on Tuesday when the vehicle collided with a truck in Sonamarg area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Reports said that a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK09/2001 and a truck with registration number JK13D/6021 collided at Sonamarg. The impact left two labourers travelling in the Sumo injured.

The injured were taken to Primary Health Centre Sonamarg for immediate treatment. Later, 27-year-old Mudasir Ahmad, a resident of Kralpora Kupwara, was referred to SKIMS Soura after receiving a head injury.

SHO Police Station Sonamarg, Afaq Majid Wani, confirmed the incident and said that police have registered a case and started an investigation into the matter. [KNT]
