Sopore, Jan 05: Gone are the days when the youth of Jammu and Kashmir relied solely on government jobs. Since the abrogation of Article 370, doors have opened for them, providing a platform to soar, shine, and rise, to write their own success stories and inspire others, especially those who were once misled by the enemies of peace and their followers.
While young people have scripted success in sports and education, entrepreneurship has not lagged behind. It has, in fact, motivated many in the younger generation to pursue and achieve their dreams.
One such achiever is Insha Rasool, a 23-year-old professional makeup artist from Hathlangoo, Sopore. She was honored with the Best Makeup Artist Award 2025 at a prestigious award show organized by Brand Talk Exhibitions in New Delhi.
The ceremony was held alongside a one-day makeup seminar at the SK Precious Banquet in Janakpuri West, New Delhi, bringing together beauty professionals from across the country. The event also featured celebrity guests, including Bigg Boss fame Sana Sultan.
Insha, who runs Elegant Salon in downtown Sopore, is known for her work in professional and celebrity makeup. She has completed advanced training from the NIIB International Institution in Chandigarh and also holds academic qualifications in college education and nursing studies.
Organizers praised her creativity, dedication, and rising influence in the beauty industry. Her work can be seen on Instagram under the handle @Makeupbyhoor.
Speaking to The Web Story /The Varmul Post Insha said, “It is always great to see the younger generation taking the lead by setting a positive example for our Kashmir, which for decades was portrayed negatively. My efforts in shaping faces have, in turn, shaped me with such great love and recognition.”
“I am at a loss for words to thank my well-wishers, who have always supported, boosted, and encouraged me to follow my dream,” she added.
Insha said that nothing is impossible if one has the passion to pursue their dreams, regardless of challenges or circumstances. No work is insignificant when done with honesty, it always earns respect, love, and recognition.
“I appeal to all girls to step forward, work with consistency and dedication. There is always a brighter side. The old days are gone; now is the time to lead the nation and our own Kashmir. We girls can play a vital role,” she further added.
