CIED–IUST Foundation Organises Innovate X 1.0 under Mission YUVA

Awantipora, Jan. 22: The CIED–IUST Foundation organised a one-day Innovate X 1.0: Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Program under the Mission YUVA initiative for aspiring entrepreneurs. The programme was conducted by Prof. Parvez A. Mir, CEO, CIED–IUST Foundation.

The inaugural session was attended by Mr. Sameer Wazir, Finance Officer, IUST; Dr. Basharat Nabi Dar, Coordinator, EDC; Dr. Mohd Asif Bashir Naqshbandi, Coordinator, IPR Cell; along with members of the CIED–IUST Foundation, budding entrepreneurs, and students from various schools and colleges. Around 100 participants, including over 20 startups, took part in the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Parvez A. Mir highlighted the significance of the newly launched Mission YUVA scheme of the J&K Government and encouraged participants to register on the Mission YUVA portal to avail funding and support. A video presentation demonstrating the registration process was also screened.

Mr. Sameer Wazir provided an overview of the CIED–IUST Foundation and explained the mentoring, support, and funding opportunities available to young entrepreneurs. Dr. Basharat Nabi Dar spoke on the growing scope of food entrepreneurship and informed participants about food technology startups and laboratory facilities available at the Foundation.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Syed Abdul Basit, who urged participants to leverage the Mission YUVA scheme for developing successful entrepreneurial ventures. Participants were also guided on submitting applications under the scheme.
