GANDERBAL,12TH, MARCH 2026: Senior Superintendent of Police Ganderbal, Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal–JKPS, today chaired a comprehensive Security Review Meeting at Ganderbal to assess the overall security preparedness in the district.
The meeting was attended by GO’s of Ganderbal Police, officers of Army and CAPF’s, besides SHO’s and DO’s of all police establishments of the district.
During the meeting, the SSP Ganderbal took a detailed review of law and order management, counter-terrorism preparedness, crime control measures, and security arrangements in preparation of Youm-ul-Quds and upcoming festival of Eid-ul-Fitr–2026. He stressed the need for heightened alertness, foolproof security planning, intensified area domination, and strengthened intelligence-based operations to ensure peaceful and incident-free celebrations across the district.
On the occasion, SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal–JKPS also gave a comprehensive briefing on the current security preparedness, including deployment patterns, vulnerability mapping, and preventive measures being implemented across the district. Special emphasis was laid on enhanced security at tourist hotspots, transit routes, and other sensitive locations.
He further highlighted the importance of close coordination among Police, Army, and CAPF’s to ensure seamless operational synergy and effective response to any emerging situation.
While appreciating the dedication and professional commitment of Ganderbal Police, the SSP exhorted all ranks to continue working with renewed zeal, discipline, and vigilance to uphold the rule of law and maintain a safe, secure, and peaceful environment for the people of the district.
