BANDIPORA, MARCH 30: As part of the ongoing activities under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), a Drug De-Addiction Awareness Programme was organised by the Youth Services and Sports (YS&S) Department Bandipora in collaboration with District Administration Bandipora at NMBHSS Kaloosa to sensitise students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy and responsible lifestyle.
Senior Superintendent of Police Bandipora, Ajaz Ahmad Zargar, attended the programme as Chief Guest, while Padma Shri awardee, Fasil Ali Dar was also present on the occasion.
During the programme, resource persons delivered insightful sessions highlighting the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of prevention, particularly among youth.
 Experts from Health Department Bandipora also spoke on the health implications of drug addiction and measures for rehabilitation and recovery.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of students, many of whom actively contributed through speeches and interactions. Students including Iqra Tabasum, Shahreen Parwaiz, Bhat Hanan, Adfa Bashir, and Sheikh Furkaan delivered impactful speeches and were felicitated for their efforts.
The event was conducted under the supervision of DYSSO Bandipora, Nazir Ahmad Bhat, with coordination by Activity Incharge, Andleeb Manhas.
Speakers on the occasion emphasised the collective responsibility of society, especially youth, in combating drug abuse and urged participants to act as ambassadors of change by spreading awareness in their communities.
The programme concluded with a strong message to work collectively towards building a drug-free society.
