UDHAMPUR, MARCH 31: To assess the progress of ongoing developmental works and implementation of flagship schemes, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today conducted an extensive tour of the far-flung areas of Sub-Division Chenani, covering Sudhmahadev, Mantalai, Latti and Dudu areas.
During the visit, the DC inspected progress of developmental projects and reviewed the functioning of key government institutions in these areas.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner visited the SDM Office, Community Health Center, BDO Office and Government Higher Secondary School in Chenani He interacted with officers and enquired about status of delivery of public services. He also paid obeisance at the revered Sudhmahadev Temple and inspected the International Yoga Centre at Mantalai.
Emphasizing efficient governance, the DC directed officers to ensure doorstep services through an efficient delivery mechanism. He further instructed all departments to organize awareness camps to encourage citizens to avail benefits of the centrally sponsored schemes.
En-route, the DC also inspected the Tehsildar Office, BDO Office and Government Higher Secondary School Latti, besides visiting the SDM Office, GHSS and NTPHC at Dudu. Stressing punctuality and accountability, he underscored that timely attendance in government offices is crucial for effective public service delivery.
