Bandipora, Feb 25: Residential houses were gutted in a fire mishap at Khumina Baharabad village of Hajin area in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district late last night,
An official told that one residential house were completely gutted in the fire mishap that broke out on the intervening night of Sunday-Monday around 1:30 in Khumina Baharabad village.
He said that the fire engulfed the single storey house belonging to one Ishafaq Ahmad Bhat son of Sonawullah Bhat a resident of Khumnina Baharabad destroying it completely.
Soon after the incident, the fire tenders and Hajin Police were rushed to the spot to douse the flames in order to minimize the damage.
However, in this incident residential house was completely damaged and property worth lakhs got destroyed,”
He further said that the cause of the fire is being ascertained, adding there were no reports of any loss of life or injury so for.
Meanwhile locals of the area have appealed District Administration Bandipora to immediately help the fire victim family as the family has no other shelter to reside in.
