Kashmir-based NGO Upholds Essence of ‘Kashmiriyat’, Helps in Ferrying of Mortal Remains of Painter To His Residence in Bihar
JK News Live

Srinagar, 29 March: Kashmir-based non-governmental organization ‘We The Helping Hands Foundation’ have relived the essence of ‘Kashmiriyat’ by facilitating the ferrying of mortal remains of a painter to his native village in Bihar.

The 18-year-old painter Dilkhos from Chattarpur Bihar died of a suspected cardiac arrest on March 28 in Banihal. The colleagues, accompanying Dilkhos, shifted him to a hospital in Anantnag from where he was referred to SKIMS Soura for further treatment. He breathed his last on March 29.

The colleagues of Dilkhos bereft of any resources were caught in a dilemma as to arrange means to shift his mortal remains back to his native village. And after approaching many people, the colleagues could arrange a paltry sum until getting into contact with the non-governmental organization ‘We The Helping Hands Foundation’.

Chairman of ‘We The Helping Hands Foundation’, Umar Wani, said that when they were approached by the colleagues of the deceased, the NGO arranged money and provided them with their own vehicle to ferry back the mortal remains to his native village in Chhatarpur Bihar – upholding the very essence of ‘Kashmiriyat’.
