Ganderbal, Jul 10 (KNO): Army on Wednesday claimed to have rescued a trekker from the Gangbal lake in Kangan area of Ganderbal district.
An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the trekker Debasmita Rana of West Bengal was part of a team which was attempting the great seven lake Trek in the Ganderbal.
He said that the group was crossing Zazibal Gali and coming down towards twin lakes Gangbal and Nundkol, Debasmita Rana started complaining of breathlessness.
“Soon after that she went unconscious and was brought to Trunkhal army camp of 34 Assam rifles. The dedical officer and his team at the rescued her and administered continuous oxygen supply. Their swift response and audacious rescue mission saved her life,” he said.
Meanwhile, Debasmita expressed gratitude to the Army for saving her life and appreciated the efforts of the medical officer of 34 Assam rifles—(KNO)
