Job aspirants seek Omar Abdullah’s intervention after JKPSC ignores ‘Reserve List Rule’
JK News Live

Srinagar, Nov 15, KNT: Job aspirants in Jammu and Kashmir have urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to intervene in the non-implementation of the Reserve list Rule in the JKPSC’s Combined Competitive Examination.

“The rule, mandated under S.O 61 (23-02-2021), aims to align with UPSC standards but has been ignored by JKPSC despite repeated representations,” several aspirants told the news agency Kashmir News Trust.

The aspirants claimed that this oversight has denied them rightful opportunities, and they hope that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will support and rectify this grave mistake.

“The Reserve List Rule is crucial for ensuring fairness and equal opportunities in the competitive examination,” said the aspirants.

They said that the Public Service Commission’s failure to adhere to this rule has sparked concerns among job aspirants, who are now pinning their hopes on Omar Abdullah’s intervention to resolve the issue.

The Reserve List Rule is designed to provide a fair chance to candidates from reserved categories, and its non-implementation has raised questions about the transparency and accountability of the Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission. [KNT]
