DC Ganderbal reviews developmental issues of Kheer Bhawani Temple
JK News Live

GANDERBAL, JANUARY 17: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir, today chaired a meeting to discuss various developmental issues concerning the Kheer Bhawani Temple and adjoining area, with a focus on the construction of Yatri Niwas and the status of existing structures within the temple premises.

During the meeting, Secretary of Samaj Sudhar Samiti Trust and the Additional Secretary of Dharmarth Trust raised several concerns, including the formal handover of structures built on land belonging to the Trust. They urged that possession of such structures be officially transferred to the trustees.

Taking note of the issues, the DC directed the concerned authorities to initiate the process for addressing the matter in accordance with the directions from higher authorities. He emphasized that any relevant court orders should be adhered to in letter and spirit.

The DC also reviewed the progress of the construction of Yatri Niwas, a key facility aimed at providing necessary accommodation for devotees visiting the shrine.

He directed both trusts to extend their support to ensure timely completion of the project for the benefit of devotees.

The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer REW RDD, Tehsildar Tulmulla, Secretary Samaj Sudhar Samiti Trust, Additional Secretary of Dharmarth Trust, and other officials.
