Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Basharat Qayoom (IAS), today chaired a comprehensive meeting at the Administrative Complex Pulwama to review the arrangements for the forthcoming NEET (UG) Examination.
During the meeting, the DC received a detailed briefing on various logistical and security measures being implemented at all designated NEET examination centres across the district. The session began with a presentation highlighting key aspects of the examination and the guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Centre Superintendents from the designated centres briefed the chair about their preparedness, including infrastructural and logistical arrangements, surveillance mechanisms and security protocols. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized strict adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the transparency, integrity and fairness of the examination process.
Dr Qayoom stressed the importance of thorough frisking procedures and directed that all training sessions for all inviglators to be conducted in batches to familiarise themselves with examination protocols. He also instructed that videographer assigned to various centres be trained to ensure standardised and proper recording of exam-day activities.
The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the concerned departments to ensure seamless transportation and the provision of other essential services on the day of the examination. Underscoring the importance of inter-departmental coordination, he called for a collaborative effort to create a conducive environment for all appearing candidates.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, ACR Pulwama, CEO Pulwama, Centre Superintendents and other district officers in addition to representatives of various Banks.
