Leopard Kills 6-Year-Old Nomadic Boy at Wopzan, Anantnag

Anantnag, Oct 13 (KNC): A six-year-old nomadic boy, from Reasi, was tragically killed by a leopard at the Wopzan area of South Kashmir’s Ananatnag diatrict on Monday.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that, the boy identified as 6-year-old Mohd. Razak Bajad, son of Iqbal Bajad, a resident of Sujanpora, District Reasi, presently residing at Kashiwudar Wopzan, Anantnag.

The boy was attacked while grazing in the area. The Cotton Room team has rushed to the site to manage the situation and ensure the safety of locals, official said.

Authorities have urged nomadic families and residents in the vicinity to remain vigilant and take precautions against further wildlife incidents. (KNC)
