GANDERBAL POLICE ORGANISES DEBATE COMPETITION ON THE THEME “ROLE of POLICE IN NATION BUILDING” AT GOVT. BOYS HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL KANGAN

GANDERBAL,25th, OCTOBER 2025

Continuing its series of events in commemoration of Police Martyrs Week, Ganderbal Police today organised a Debate Competition on the theme “Role of Police in Nation Building” at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Kangan.

The event was aimed at honouring the supreme sacrifices of Police martyrs and to promote awareness among the youth about the pivotal role of Police in maintaining peace, ensuring justice, and contributing to nation building.

Students from various schools of the area participated enthusiastically and expressed their thoughts on how the Police act as a vital pillar in safeguarding democracy, maintaining law and order, and fostering unity and progress in the country.

The debate witnessed an engaging exchange of ideas and a strong display of confidence and talent among the participants. The event was graced by officers of Ganderbal Police, school faculty members, and prominent citizens of Kangan area.

On the said occasion, Addl.SP Ganderbal Shri Owaise Loun-JKPS and other senior Police Officers appreciated the efforts of students for their insightful speeches and highlighted that such programs help strengthen the bond between Police and the community, particularly the youth. They also paid rich tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty, reaffirming that their sacrifices continue to inspire the force to work with dedication and integrity.

At the conclusion of the event, Cash prizes and Appreciation Certificates were distributed among the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders.

Ganderbal Police reiterated its commitment to continue organizing such awareness and educational programs aimed at nurturing responsible and informed citizens while keeping alive the memory of the brave martyrs.
