Beerwah, Dec 21, KNT: A healthy baby was delivered at Sub District Hospital Beerwah on Sunday during the ongoing Polio Day activities.
Hospital officials said the delivery was completed in about thirty minutes, reflecting the facility’s preparedness and effective maternal care systems.
According to SDH Beerwah, the delivery was handled by a lady doctor with assistance from the hospital’s medical and paramedical staff.
The process took place under the overall supervision of Block Medical Officer Beerwah, Dr Arshid.
Dr Arshid commended the staff for what he described as a coordinated and timely response. He said SDH Beerwah has positioned itself to manage routine as well as emergency maternal and child healthcare cases at any hour, adding that teams on duty had shown consistency in maintaining these standards.
Hospital staff said the successful birth on a day dedicated to preventive health interventions served as a reminder of the dual responsibilities handled by peripheral health institutions in the district. Locals and attendants present at the facility appreciated the prompt handling of the case.
