POONCH, JANUARY 22: The District Level Committee today reviewed the Sponsorship cum Foster Care cases under Mission Vatsalya initiative here at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Kumar Sharma.
As many as 109 cases of orphan children were placed before the Committee. After detailed discussion, scrutiny and deliberation the cases were approved.
The District Child Protection Officer, Khalil A Banday presented a comprehensive briefing on the cases, highlighting the background, eligibility and need based assessment of the beneficiaries under the scheme.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman, Child Welfare Committee, PO NIC and other concerned officers and stakeholders, who actively participated in the deliberations and offered valuable inputs.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of ensuring timely care, protection, and financial support to orphan and vulnerable children and reiterated the district administration’s commitment towards effective implementation of child welfare schemes.
The meeting concluded with directions for expeditious processing and implementation of the approved cases to ensure that the intended benefits reach the deserving children at the earliest.
