Inclement weather forces closure of schools in twin districts of Pir Panjal
JK News Live

Rajouri, Jan 23, KNT: Authorities on Friday ordered the closure of all schools in Rajouri and Poonch districts in view of prevailing inclement weather conditions, officials said.

Authorities said that all government and private educational institutions across the twin districts were directed to remain closed for the day on January 23 as a precautionary measure. The order was issued to ensure the safety of students and staff amid adverse weather conditions.

Official sources said that the decision was taken following instructions from the Deputy Commissioners from Poonch and Rajouri, keeping in view the weather situation in the district. The closure applies to schools functioning in all zones of Rajouri and Poonch.

Officials said the move was aimed at preventing any risk to students due to slippery roads, low temperatures and other weather-related hazards. Parents and school administrations were asked to strictly comply with the order.

Authorities said further decisions regarding reopening of schools would be taken based on improvement in weather conditions, and fresh advisories would be issued accordingly. [KNT]
